Therapeutic Massage Therapy (TMT)

Therapeutic Massage is using the hands or mechanical means, to manipulate the soft tissues of the body, particularly the muscles and connective tissues. Using specific techniques to treat the condition patient presents with. Releasing adhesions. mobilising tension patterns, relaxing the nervous sytem, stimulating the endorphin release to allow healing of pain, injury or effects of stress.

Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®)

TRE® is a revolutionary new technique to release muscular tension, relieve chronic stress, anxiety and recover from traumatic and stressful episodes in life. Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®) is a breakthrough in trauma recovery.

It is a body-based methodology of trauma recovery that can be used with individuals or in groups. It is easily learned, immediately effective and highly self-empowering. Using the muscles in connection with the brain the neurogenic tremor is activated to open the door to deeper releasing, relaxing and reconnecting.

Individual  sessions are 60-90 minutes, with client in comfortable loose clothes. We use yoga mats to do some movement and lay down to comfortably allow the body to process.

 

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a complementary healing modality that grew out of Osteopathy. CST is a gentle hands-on method where the practitioner evaluates and facilitates the optimum functioning of the craniosacral system, by palpitating the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid and connecting with the nervous system.

The craniosacral system is a physiological body system that primarily comprises of the brain, spinal cord and connective tissue.

Impairment of the flow of cerebrospinal fluid can result in sensory, motor and neurological dis-ease. Releasing blockages around the nervous system to relax and offer relief from stress and trauma.

CST is a vital and dynamic treatment in maintaining optimal health and balance.

Sessions are 90 minutes, where client is fully clothed, lying on their back, supported and safe to allow deep relaxation.
